They're looking for an AAT qualified accountant to join their friendly team, supporting clients with accounts preparation, payroll, VAT and bookkeeping using Xero software.

You'll play a key role in the team, maintaining accounting records and improving financial processing and reporting.

About the Role
You'll play a key role in the team, maintaining accounting records and improving financial processing and reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial data
- Preparing payroll submissions for a variety of clients
- Posting invoices and expenses and reconciling accounts
- Preparing tax calculations and reporting to HMRC
- Producing statutory accounts for sole traders, Limited companies and partnerships
- Liaising with clients to obtain resolve queries and obtain information
- VAT returns
The Successful ApplicantIdeally, you will be an AAT level 4 qualified accountant (or QBE) with strong communication and organisational skills.
Requirements include:
- AAT qualified or part qualified (QBE also considered)
- Experience of processing source data and a good understanding of double entry accounting
- Good communicator with an inquiring, analytical mind
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines
- Practice experience desirable
- Demonstrable experience of Cloud accounting packages (eg Xero)
- Working knowledge of payroll (desirable not essential)
