iMultiply are delighted to be exclusively engaged on the role of Interim Head of Finance for a third sector organisation based in Edinburgh. The role is offering an equivalent salary of £50,000 - £55,000 on an initial 6 month FTC basis. The Organisation This innovative and fast paced charity are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join them at a time of change and growth. They are currently in the process of implementing a new business software; as well as restructuring the finance function. This individual will play a key part in assisting with both - guiding and advising them throughout this exciting time. The Role The Interim Head of Finance will replace the current incumbent on an initial 6 month fixed term contract, with the opportunity to move into the permanent Finance Director post at the end of the contract. The role will require the successful individual to have technical expertise in charity accounting and restricted funds; as well as an ability to partner effective with a number of key stakeholders within the organisation. On Offer The role of Interim Head of Finance is offering a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (pro-rated to 6 months) as well as additional benefits including the option to work remotely if/when required. As previously stated, there is also the chance for the successful individual to become the permanent Finance Director following the conclusion of the initial 6 months spell. The office is based in Edinburgh and is easily accessible via public transport. You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties: Maintenance of financial systems and controls Financial accounts including regular control account reconciliations Production of statutory accounts Management accounts and reporting on budget vs actual vs forecast VAT and other statutory returns including HMRC, CC and CRO Reporting to funders including on restricted funds Managing the relationship with bank and auditors Treasury function including cash flow and timely debt collection Overseeing and maintenance new systems and/or processes Working with business development team as required Reporting/support to trustee committees as required To be considered for this opportunity you must: Be a qualified accountant Have an understanding of SORP Have experience of working with Microsoft accounting packages (desirable) Able to convert finance language to clear communication to non-finance based staff IT literate including advanced excel Clear and concise report writing Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Excellent leadership and staff management skills Creative approach to problem solving and values alignment with the charity If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please do not hesitate to reach out to Jack Ramage for a private and confidential discussion.
