The Opportunity:

We're looking for aSeniorProductManager,Financial Planningto join our entrepreneurial team. You'll have a deep understanding how the financial advice industry is transforming to become more client-centric and the need for advice businesses to achieve efficiencies and meet compliance needs.As a proven product manager or business analystin advice technology, you'll have a structured approach to your work,and, in conjunction with senior leaders, willact as a conduit between development teams and go-to-market teams.You're a hands-on individual who is passionate aboutthe value of advice, technology and the role of product management in delivering great outcomes to clients.

In partnership withcolleagues inproduct management,sales, marketing, service, development and operations, you'll be responsible forensuring effectivedefinition andexecution of our strategic product roadmaps. You'llbe a subject matter expert internally and to our clients and industry stakeholders.You willcollaborate with cross-functional teams thatarefocused on delivering great technology and research solutions to financial advisers. Through your contributions, you'llhelp advisers run more efficient and compliant businesses,spend more time with clients, anddeliver better outcomes.

This role reports to the Head of Product & Client Solutions, Australia & New Zealand.

What you'll do:
  • Utilise your in-depth knowledge of the financial advice market to drive the product development process andsupportgo-to-marketteamsas it relates to Financial Planning Software solutions in Australia.
  • Partner with development squads to execute on the product roadmap.
  • Supportand drive the implementation ofbest practices inuser researchand user testing,to ensure client feedbackis captured systematically into the product development process.
  • Scope and clearly document requirements for product enhancements in conjunction with relevant local and global stakeholders.
  • Identify, articulateand gain internal and external support aroundopportunitiesto bringdifferentiated solutionsto marketthat are alignedwiththe company mission and product vision.
  • Be responsible for clear and regular communications around prior and upcoming releases with client-facing teams.
  • Champion product management excellenceand actively seek opportunities to elevate Product Managementdiscipline within thebusiness.
  • Supportbusinessleaders and marketing as it relates tosalesenablementand marketing materials.
  • As a subject matter expert forFinancial Planning,representAdviserLogicand related capabilities externally along with sales; work with a cross-functional team, including sales, to drive sales activity.
  • Draw upon industry trends, regulatory changes and other factors toidentify and drive opportunities thatdifferentiate ourFinancial Planning solutionsand positionthemfor growth.
  • Build effective relationships with keypartners and suppliersand act asakey point of contact for these firms as they work with Morningstar.
  • RepresentMorningstarand our clients externally withinindustry leadershipforums such as regulatory working groups and roundtables.
  • Through close coordination with Technology, Product, Client Service and Operations teams, help ensure product, operational and customer service excellence for ourFinancial Planningproducts.
  • Perform other duties as necessary from time to time.

What we'd expect you'd have on day 1:
  • 5+years of productmanagement orbusiness analysisexperience inadvicetechnology.
  • A track record of successfulproduct delivery in an agile environment.
  • Prior experienceworking withor on behalf offinancial advisers.
  • You'll be data-driven and understand how touse insights to support swift and effective decision making.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive creative, cost effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Human skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A sense of humour.
  • A team player's attitude with a high threshold for quality.
  • Empathy and the maturity to own and learn from challenges.

What you need to enjoy and be good at for this role:
  • A self-starter with a passion for "doing the impossible;" committed to testing, learning, and iterating.

Other things that would be useful to have, but not necessary:
  • Experience partnering with sales& marketingteams toinfluencesales pipeline development and participating in client engagements.
  • Certifications in Product Management / Product Development.
  • Other relevant formal qualifications.
