This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop a long term career within IT Sales. As a Trainee Account Manager you will join an expanding team, where you will be involved in the growth of a range of existing Accounts and developing profitable new business. The successful candidate will be involved in selling a range of sophisticated IT products and Infrastructure to a range of IT, Purchasing Managers and Directors. Full product training will be provided, though you will need to be hungry to learn and succeed.
The main duties of the Trainee Account Manager are likely to include:
· Managing a number of existing Accounts
· Following up & closing new business opportunities, presenting the company to potential clients through direct communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails as appropriate.
· Responsible for own lead generation and appointment setting.
· Actively and successfully managing the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close
· Planning and preparing sales literature & presentations (when appropriate)
· Communicating new product developments to prospective & existing clients. The successful candidate will have individual responsibility for new business and is expected to self-manage.
· The Key Skills and experience for a Trainee Account Manager revolve around the following areas: -
· You will have a proven track record of sales / account management in a business to business environment
· A confident negotiator with strong client management skills and ability to keep promises
· Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
· A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new and existing opportunities
· The ability to deal with and handle rejection
