Junior Accountant, Sofia based (1 year Fixed Term)

Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Balkans Finance team, based in Sofia, on a fixed-term assignment for one year. The Junior Accountant will be involved in the operational accounting of The Walt Disney Company Balkans (incl. Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia).

Responsibilities:

• Execute day-to-day accounting operations and transactions;
• Process and control accountancy documents;
• Perform account payable and account receivable reporting - aging, reconciliation;
• Exercise monthly control over fixed-assets accounting - additions, disposals, write-offs, depreciation;
• Participates in monthly trial balance reconciliation and control;
• Supports the preparation of current, quarterly and annual financial statements, internal reports and reports required by the management of the company;
• Maintains relations with tax authorities, banks and other institutions;
• Provides support for all accounting activities of the company.

Basic Qualifications:

• Previous experience in year-end closing under Bulgarian Accounting Standards;
• University degree in Finance or Accounting;
• Experience with financial/accounting SW; ERP will be considered an advantage;
• Computer literacy (MS Office);
• Bulgarian and English language fluency.
