We now have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager within our Finance team based in Sydney for a 12-month fixed term maternity leave contract. This role is responsible for the Network 10's Digital Media properties, including and also Data, Insights and Analytics areas of the business, and will report to the VP of Finance. They will work closely with operational stakeholders and the wider Finance team, while managing a Commercial Accountant.

You'll be doing things like this:
  • Understanding and partnering with our Digital Media, Data, Insights and Analytics departments and being responsible for all finance and commercial aspects.
  • Responsible for month-end completion. This includes journals, Digital revenue posting and reporting, P&L reporting and analysis, managing balance sheet accounts, and departmental reporting.
  • Responsible for monthly forecast reporting
  • Ownership and delivery of the annual budget process which involves detailed Digital revenue modelling, and operational and capital cost analysis.
  • Managing external partner revenue share reporting to various Digital partners; interacting with internal business managers to ensure our contractual obligations are met.
  • Partnering with the business to obtain approvals required to commence capital expenditure projects. Tracking and reporting on these projects to assist with business planning and to manage cash and P&L impacts.
  • External revenue reporting to IAB and Think TV.
  • Involvement in the audit process.
  • Adhoc enquiries or duties to drive further business insight or to help support the wider Finance team.


We want you to hit the ground running, so these qualifications and experiences will set you up for success:
  • Degree educated with professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar business facing finance manager role
  • Demonstrated experience working in a digital business would be an advantage
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Oracle and TM1 or other similar financial system desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) essential as this is a business facing role
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, solid work ethic, job management skills, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to change.
  • Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative
