The organisation are thriving despite the current economic uncertainty and are running a project which requires that they need to provide cover in the payroll function for several months. While work from home is encouraged at the moment, the successful applicant will have the option of working in the CBD as soon as restrictions ease.
The Role
This temporary assignment is expected to last several months and will commence in mid-late September. It will be a busy and challenging end to end Payroll Officer position which is likely to involve:
This role is full time hours and is expected to commence by late September at the latest so a full handover can be conducted with a staff member who is preparing for an internal transfer. Remote training will be available.
Your Profile
You will have a strong background in Payroll with a minimum of 2 years experience in an end to end position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

The Role

- Processing weekly and fortnightly pays
- Work as part of a team of 3 to process for up to 2500 employees
- Interpret various different awards and EBA's
- Process superannuation payments
- PAYG processing
- Setting up new employees
- Use of time and attendance system
- Answer employee pay related queries
- Interpret multiple shift and overtime patterns
- Support with end of month payroll reporting

Your Profile
You will have a strong background in Payroll with a minimum of 2 years experience in an end to end position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:
- Experience with weekly pay processing for large numbers of employees (300 +)
- Exposure to Time and Attendance systems
- Immediate availability
- Excellent communication skills
- Stable career history and positive references
- Exposure to interpretation of awards and EBA's
- Managing various shift patterns and overtime rates
