About The Role
Are you currently studying a surveying degree or qualification and looking to gain work experience in a paid position? If your answer is yes, we have the perfect part time opportunity for you to gain extensive work experience, whilst allowing you to complete your studies at the same time!
We're currently looking for two highly motivated students in the Bradford area who are looking to develop their skills and experience in the workplace. As a student, you'll currently be studying a subject related to surveying at University or College, such as building surveying, construction or engineering and have a keen interest in developing your experience whilst you study.
Our Student Survey and Planning Auditors will work from one of our fantastic showrooms spread across the UK, travelling to our customer houses to conduct home surveys in the local area. We currently have two roles available:

Our Student Survey and Planning Auditors will work from one of our fantastic showrooms spread across the UK, travelling to our customer houses to conduct home surveys in the local area. We currently have two roles available:
- 18 hour contract, 4 days per week covering 6 hours on a Sunday, and then 4 hours on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 16:00 to 20:00
- 16 hour contract, 3 days per week covering 8 hours on a Saturday, and 4 hours on a Thursday and Friday from 16:00 to 20:00
Critical purpose of role:
- Ensure high quality plans by auditing designs in advance of delivery
- Train and coach the design team to enable the consistent delivery of accurate orders and aesthetic plans
- Support the design process by conducting home surveys that ensure accurate measurements are used
- Reduce errors within the business
- Support the contact centre team by assisting them with resolution
- Visit customers property to complete home surveys and highlight any potential installation or access issues that could lessen the customer experience
- Complete detailed in store plan checks for orders and highlight any potential installation or product issues that could impact the installation process and lessen the customer experience
- Review all orders prior to checking to ensure accurate measurements documented and arrange appointment for measurements to be taken if there are discrepancies
- Provide feedback to Designers following a plan check, addressing errors identified
- Audit compliance documentation uploaded from the showroom to ensure standards are being met
- Coaching and developing the design team by reviewing orders with them to highlight areas of improvement
- Provide training and development with the relevant Designers when errors are identified multiple times
- Identify and report to the SPA Manager any additional training requirements with individual Designers
- Provide constructive feedback on opportunities identified with the planner, systems and training to improve efficiencies
- Review all orders prior to checking to ensure accurate measurements documented and arrange appointment for measurements to be taken if there are discrepancies
- Hosting regular team briefings to train new features in both the planner and product
- Support error reduction by managing weekly reports highlighting potential future issues
- Attend regular meetings with the other Auditors to offer improvement feedback and share ideas
About You
About You:
- Currently studying a Surveying or a related subject / degree at University or College
- Full driving licence is essential with the ability to drive a SGV (Special Goods Vehicle)
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
