Advantage Resourcing is recruiting an opportunity for you to be part of an exciting finance team with a leading defence client. This is within their aerospace division which supports the defence sector. This is based in Warton, which is close to Preston, Lytham and Blackpool. The rate of pay will be £16.97 PAYE and will be for 6 months.
Candidates will need to go through a level of security clearance before starting.
We are seeking the following skills and experiences:
Part qualified accountant/qualified by experience.
Previous experience may have been as an Administration Assistant in the Financial Job Family or may have experience in project accounting, management accounting or project accounting either at the Assistant Accountant level or at Admin Assistant level.
This role provides financial accounting services to the business.
Duties include:
Operational / Transactional:
*Processing CAS claims & invoice transactions for Accounts Receivable
*Ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely manner respecting period end cut offs and other key dates
Business Partnering:
*Advising Project Accounting teams on Accounts Receivable issues and actions
*Providing reports to support monthly transactions & impacts on various Projects
*Supporting Financial Accounting Reporting & Controls team with Debtors reviews through regular provision of information and SME support to sessions
Reconciliation & Control:
*Completing Accounts Receivable input to weekly cash forecast for review with Financial
*Controller & submission to Treasury
*Ensuring policies, procedures & work instructions for area of responsibility are topical, fit for purpose and reviewed on an ongoing basis
*Compliance with COSA and support to internal and external audits where required
*Implementing process changes / changes in working practices identified by Financial Accounting Reporting & Controls team where required
