Primary responsibilities include the coordination, planning, and oversight of tax matters for Quest Software and One Identity subsidiaries and operations throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA"). Other significant responsibilities include the completion/review of the EMEA related components of the annual income tax provision, maintenance of global transfer pricing documentation, withholding taxes, support of FATCA/CRS requirements, entity rationalization, and on-going planning, structuring and management of the Company's international tax structure especially as it relates to EMEA subsidiaries. This position will report into the US Global Tax Team and work closely day-to-day with the EMEA Accounting team, which is also located in Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee/coordinate all aspects of Irish corporate income and withholding tax returns and related filings, including (such as) oversight of filing calendars, preparation/review of draft returns, coordination of tax, tax basis calculations, and group loss analysis.
  • Oversight of EMEA related corporate income tax filings in local countries, including (such as) review of draft returns, management of tax advisors, and related tax calendars.
  • Coordinate with regional accounting teams to review EMEA statutory financial filings to identify tax sensitive items needing potential adjustment.
  • Manage advisors to complete contemporaneous local country transfer pricing documentation, cost sharing arrangements and intercompany agreements for EMEA.
  • Assist accounting with the review of routine intercompany calculations and journal entries.
  • Coordinate with tax advisors' assembly of OECD Master File and CbyC transfer pricing reporting.
  • Participate and assist with tax planning related to global and EMEA initiatives.
  • Assist with tax analysis around establishment, liquidation or merger of EMEA entities.
  • Technical oversight and guidance around EMEA transaction tax matters (e.g., VAT).
  • Collaborate with Accounting & Treasury regarding the form and timing of international intercompany cash transfers, distributions and loans.
  • Manage EMEA withholding tax requirements and filings.
  • Coordinate/assist with the EMEA income tax inspections.
  • Support the business function with applicable reporting documentation and FATCA/CRS documentation.
  • Assist with certain EMEA related components of the company's U.S. GAAP ASC740 matters for financial statement reporting.
  • Monitor EMEA legislative developments and impact on the company.
  • Technical oversight and coordination with local advisors to comply with EU reporting requirements under DAC 6.

Qualifications

Requirements
  • Experience equivalent to a four-year undergraduate degree (Bachelors) degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • At least 2 years of income tax experience in private industry and/or public accounting.
  • Knowledge of EMEA taxes as well as working knowledge of and exposure to foreign country tax regimes.
  • Proficient knowledge of basic software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to manage working with team members in different time zones.

Preferences
  • Advance 2-year (Masters) degree and/or CPA license or equivalent (i.e. LLM).
  • Working knowledge of OneSource tax provision and return preparation software.
  • Ability to conduct research using various sources including RIA, CCH, etc. and effectively communicate results in the form of discussion, presentation or technical memorandum.
