EY Bulgaria seeks to recruit an experienced Accountant to work remotely from any town of Bulgaria
Job purpose
As an Accountant at EY, you will support our clients in managing their accounting and tax obligations effectively and enhancing their compliance with the applicable legislation. You will prepare accounting entries, financial statements, tax returns and management reports for leading domestic and foreign companies in diverse industries..
Responsibilities
• Input accounting entries
• Prepare tax returns, financial statements, management reports
• Prepare other statutory required reports
• Communicate with the tax and other government authorities
• Keep yourself updated with the changes in the accounting and tax legislation
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating other team members on progress
• Build strong internal relationships within the team and across other EY teams
What skills and knowledge are required:
• University degree of Economics (Accounting, Finance or Audit degree would be an advantage)
• At least three years of relevant work experience in accounting and taxation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bulgarian and English
• Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Strong analytical, teamwork and organizational skills and proven ability to multitask
• Experience with specialized accounting and payroll software systems
• Attention to details with a commitment to high quality and accuracy
• Self-motivated, positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally
What we offer:
• The work will be performed remotely from the home town of the Accountant using EY equipment and systems. Travelling to the office of EY in Sofia will be required for the onboarding of the Accountant for one week initially, as well as occasionally (approximately on bi-monthly basis) thereafter
• The position is permanent, so after the expiration of an initial probation period, the successful candidate will be offered an indefinite employment contract.
