Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reconciling a variety of reports supporting the various accounting input and output of data.
  • Records accurately, and in accordance with Department policies and procedures general ledger balances such as cash, income, capital, advisor trades, corporate action postings, etc.
  • Prepare timely and accurate Net Asset values, mill rate distributions and other fund accounting output for review.
  • Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records and prices
  • Responds to inquiries regarding accounting audits, internal and external.
  • Responsible for performing routine to moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, preparation of daily work packets and calculation of daily NAV. Work is typically performed under moderate to minimal guidance.
  • Maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions.
  • Maintains and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts.
  • Prepares financial statements and reports. Maintains and develops automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures.
  • Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.


Qualifications:

Basic qualifications

  • Completing an undergraduate or masters degree in May/June 2021


Preferred qualifications

  • Preferred May/June 2021 graduates
  • Pursuing a degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Thorough level of knowledge in accounting, reporting, and analysis required.
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance and has zero to two years related experience, preferred.
  • CPA eligible preferred.
