CFO (Commodity)

Description:

Our client is a leading Commodity Multinational Company looking for a CFO who can commit to extensive international work travels (once restrictions are lifted). The ideal candidate will have experience in either commodities (preferably soft commodity) or commercial trading. You will set objectives for the different lines of businesses and aligning it with group strategy. You will also be tasked to liaise with their partners on strategic matters.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) include:

• Formulate future direction and strategy for their Operations overseas. Monitor and implement strategic business plans and develop finance strategies and objectives. Develop financial operating performance measures that support the company's strategic direction in alignment with group performance reporting requirements
• Directing organization's financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency
• Conferring with board members, organization officials, or accounting / finance staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems
• Analyzing operations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change
• Directing and implementing accounting / finance policies, objectives, or activities for organizations or businesses in order to ensure continuing operations, maximize returns on investments, or increase productivity

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
• CPA / CFA or any relevant certification highly desired
• 5 years or more in a Controller or CFO level role within a large Multinational (either commodities or commercial trading related)
• We are also open to candidates from overseas (Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, etc.) with the right credentials / soft commodity related background willing to relocate.
