We are inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Credit Control Accountant

In this role, PD/MT who has already worked in the Insurance Vertical with Strong Analytical skills (Preference would be given to a person having an understanding of Insurance Cash Application, Research and resolution of Aged Receivable balances, Communication with Underwriter/ Broker to resolve unmatched cash, Journal Entries).
  • Understanding of Bank statements, remittances/ invoices from Brokers / Cedent.
  • Sound understanding of Facultative & Treaty Re-insurance business
  • Identification and recording of Incoming cash receipts for Re-Insurance Business - Different types of policies, Manual / Automated programs, Non-programs etc.
  • Should have experience and understanding of Surety Business (incoming & outgoing)
  • Perform and review multi-currency revaluations for foreign currency cash receipts.
  • Prepare journal entries for cash (incoming & outgoing) & Intercompany in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Research and resolve open items for Bank reconciliations and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to provide a resolution.
  • Prepare internal reports for various stakeholders
  • Ensure key risks and issues relating to Cash applications are identified, documented, and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders and senior management in a timely manner.
  • Actively work towards streamlining of the Unreconciled Cash & build effective controls.
  • Actively work towards building deep domain depth in the team around Cash application for Property & Casualty Insurance & Re-Insurance Co.
  • Closely working with the Underwriting Assistance team to ensure Premium bookings and booking corrections
  • Qualifications we seek in you
    Minimum qualifications
    • B.Com with relevant work experience preferred.

    • Must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
    • Ability to handle varied volumes of workloads and to reach targets and deadlines on a timely basis

    • Good Communication skills
    • Analytically & Academically sound
    • Insurance/ Reinsurance Cash Application background would be an added advantage
    • Good Excel & Presentation skills
