Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will see you responsible for preparation of the group's Accounting reconciliations, analysis and reporting, interpreting financial results, financial statistical reports, control and performance management processes and the like. Your new role
Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will see you responsible for preparation of the group's Accounting reconciliations, analysis and reporting, interpreting financial results, financial statistical reports, control and performance management processes and the like. You will be required to:
- Prepare and execute data entry of general journals and standing journals
- reconciliation of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis including subsidiary ledgers and inter-company loan accounts
- Preparation of weekly / monthly and year end reports (both management and statutory)
- Oversee AP and AR reconciliations
- Cashflow forecasts
- Maintenance and preparation of monthly depreciation and asset additions in the fixed asset register. You will be required to track capital project spend and status of projects
- Co-ordinate accounting information with other departments as required to assist the Management Accountant as required
- Prepare Tax schedules on a timely basis in accordance with Management and Statutory requirements
- Prepare BAS/IAS/Excise returns
- Assist as required the preparation of management reports and audits
- Assist with Budget, forecasting and costing reports
- Assist in Stocktake and Inventory reconciliations
- Assist in review and posting of production work orders, investigate standard cost variances.
What you'll need to succeed
You will require at least 3+ years experience in your field and exude the following skills and knowledge:
- Tertiary Qualifications suitable for membership of Australian Society of CPA's or CA's
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Analytical by nature, with the ability to foresee problems and approach with solutions
- Strong spreadsheeting skills
- Experience using QAD or JDE preferred
- Ability to meet deadlines and boast effective people skills with a can-do attitude
