This organisation creates and sells household name products and has proven resilient through the Covid-19 period. As such they are looking to add a commercial finance analyst to their team to deliver critical commercial insight and support impending technological change within their finance systems.

This role requires someone who wants to work closely with non-finance professionals in a partnering role with full exposure to senior finance leadership and other functional business heads within the senior management structure.

This is a high profile and commercial role that would suit a part qualified or qualified accountant with strong systems and Excel skills.

The Role

As the Commercial Finance Analyst you will be required to join the existing finance team to drive analysis and insight while supporting he adoption of new technology which support will further enhance analysis capabilities.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Commercial business partnering with sales and marketing team to drive value, specifically on promotional performance and planning.
  • To be a leading figure in the implementation of new trade spend tools, liaising with sales, marketing and finance to coordinate.
  • Add value by suggesting new ways of working to the business and owning the change.
  • Create Dashboard visualizations to enable greater interrogation of data and easy to use reporting tools.
  • Preparing business proposals and suggesting new solutions for reporting (continuous improvement mentality).
  • Embed Revenue growth management ways of working into the UK business, through training and development
  • Promote and drive a pay for performance culture on promotional planning and trade spend evaluation
  • Bring Power BI to life through advanced visualisations liaising with the trade marketing team on how best to optimise our views for the business.
  • Organise implementations of improvements, gate keeping future developments on processes and flow.

Your Profile

The successful Commercial Finance Analyst is likely to be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), and possess a strong commercial/business analysis background. This is a highly visible role that would suit a confident communicator who enjoys business partnering and influencing senior management. Experience of the FMCG sector is essential, as is a passion for data and data management tools, specifically Excel and, ideally, Power BI.

Salary & Benefits

£38,000 - £45,000 per annum plus 11% bonus and 8% non-contributory pension. Parking is available on site, and the office is operating with Covid secure measures in place.

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
