Job Description

The Director of Operational Accounting's focus is on the control and reporting of information from the field with a heavy emphasis on Revenue Cycle activities. Responsibilities also include working in tandem with the Assistant Controller on general accounting and corporate financial reporting matters.

These include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. He or she develops and maintains information to guide decision-making regarding company operations in compliance with government policy and reporting regulations. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, the Director of Operational Accounting performs both routine and complex accounting activities and financial analyses to support the mission of Vinfen.

Requirements

  • Seven to ten years' experience in accounting or related field. Experience in the human services operational environment preferred. In some instances, experience may be substituted for academic training.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required; MBA strongly preferred.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel user comfortable with large data sets and experience with advanced formulas and pivot tables, strong with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of the company including operational directors
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation and sense of ownership
  • A collaborative and team-oriented attitude
