The Citi Private Bank (CPB) Client Reporting Technology team is responsible for legal statements, advices, confirms, relationship reports, regulatory client reports, performance and other supplementary reporting. The candidate will design and develop the user interface, create or update existing report sections, ensure data accuracy and review end to end data flows.The Technology Business Analyst will apply business understanding, analytical processes, critical thinking, experience and project management capability to create, document and guide the implementation of advanced application solutions for the CPB user base
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with business to understand strategies and interpret underlying business needs, and with developers, to propose and design technology solutions, thoughtfully transform them into clear business and design requirements, and project manage to attain successful implementationReview key regional and global regulatory changes in the industry and assess its impact to Client Reporting work streamDevelop these requirements to ensure that they are sufficiently complete and correct for executionUnderstand at a very low level the functional data analysis requirements in the financial services spaceAnalyzing financial data flows, security master requirements, client and account relationships, Private Banking business processes, etc.Play a consultative role to business partners and continuously seek out and propose creative solutions and innovative technology ideas to meet business goalsCandidate must interact with developers based in multiple locations and work with external vendors, as well as internal legal, compliance, marketing, branding and other partnersBuild a deep understanding of CPB business, products and processes and provide a business perspective to project teamsAnalyze data, processes, and usability input and produce clear and logical documentation of resultsIn addition to collaborating with professional designers, use tools such as Balsamiq or Adobe InDesign to create mockups and wire framesUtilize data query tools to confirm data quality and investigate user queriesCreate effective presentations to be used with business audiences of various levelsManage timelines, milestones and streams related to own projectsTrack, resolve and escalate issues for own projects while keeping relevant stakeholders informedCommunicate continually with all stakeholders including Investment Centre Heads, Bankers, Technology Managers, Legal & Compliance on the status of deliverables and flag potential risks and delays to successful completion of all projectsMaintain project deliverables including reporting and tracking statuses using Powerpoint, Excel, Jira and ConfluenceAct as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assignedHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervisionCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
Required Skills
Experience in Financial Services industry with a focus on Private Banking/Wealth Management including in-depth knowledge of Banking, Lending and Complex Investment productsExperience with financial accounting and performance calculation flows (cash flows, accruals, performance return calculation, e.g. time-weighted, money-weighted, contribution, attribution, transaction code mapping, security asset classification mapping)Strong knowledge of the full software development testing lifecycleExperienced practitioner of agile development methodologyExperience with data query/processing/engineering development (PL/SQL, Scala, Python)Strong cross-group collaboration and relationship management skills including coordinating with geographically dispersed teams to achieve deliverablesStrong skills in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree/University degree with 6 or more years' relevant experience in business analysis within a technology areaGood organizational skills with attention to detailAstute analytical skillsStrong relationship building skillsVery self-motivated and independent thinker
