The Opportunity
An opportunity has been identified for an experienced Intermediate accountant to join our Business Advisory service line. Business Advisory Intermediate Accountant is responsible for delivering accounting and advisory services, and supporting the work of the Business Advisory Team.
  • Build strong relationships with a diverse client portfolio.
  • Manage the planning, execution and completion of client assignments.
  • Prepare financial statements, management and annual accounts.
  • Preparing tax returns including, GST, PAYE, FBT.
  • Liaising directly with clients to respond to queries or provide information, as requested.
  • Providing services to clients on client sites as requested from time to time to support a specific project.
  • Assist Managers with reviewing files as requested.
  • Delegate and work closely with team members in India.
  • Assist Managers with completion of special assignments or projects as requested.
  • Provide and analyse financial and non-financial information to assist clients to monitor performance.
  • Participating in and contributing to team meetings.
  • Develop a deep understanding of various management accounting packages.
  • Development of reporting that helps client better understand the drivers of their business and actions they can take to improve performance.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Two years' experience in a Business Advisory environment.
  • Analysis, judgement and problem solving to be able to define problems, break them down into component parts, define goals, conduct research, and deliver high standard results based on systematic and rational decisions.
  • Quality orientation by complying with, monitoring and updating quality procedures.
  • Planning and organising oneself to prioritise tasks, plan ahead and have a structured approach to work; set up & monitor timescales.
  • Resilience and adaptability to maintain effective work behaviour in the face of setbacks and/or pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field.
  • Working towards CA qualification.
