As a result of continued growth, the business now seeks to recruit a high calibre and ambitious Head of Finance to take full ownership of the businesses financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:-
  • Build strong working relationships across all aspects of the business.
  • Full autonomy to develop current controls and processes.
  • Maintaining a strong financial environment, ensuring robust controls and procedures are always in place, whist supporting profit maximization.
  • Overseeing the finance function consisting of 2 transactional staff.
  • Play an active role within the management team.
  • Responsibility for the timely completion of monthly management accounts including.

- Profit and loss

- Balance sheet

- Supporting commentary

- Business KPI's

- Development of board pack
  • Ownership and development of the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Completion of a variety of financial projects, including the potential for exposure to the integration of further acquisitions.
  • Cash flow and treasury management.
  • Continuously seek to develop and enhance existing practices across the organisation to support profit maximization.
  • Develop excellent lines of communication across the wider business.
  • Management of the annual audit process.

The Candidate

This role would ideally suit an ambitious qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA OR CIMA) seeking a role that will offer strong career progression and autonomy whist gaining exposure to both commercial and operational activities within a high growth, dynamic environment.

Candidate Profile:-
  • Qualified accountant with a strong academic track record.
  • Engaging style of communication with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels within the group.
  • The ambition and drive to develop their career within the company.
  • Proactivity and change orientated, using initiative to drive continuous improvement.
  • Credibility with senior management and peers and external advisors.
  • Experience of supervising / managing staff.
  • Self-starter, willing to be involved in the detail.
  • Strong IT and systems skills, in particular MS Excel.
  • Willingness to travel across other business locations.
