Our client is a rapidly expanding commercial law firm specialising in financial mis-selling and due to continued growth they are now looking to recruit a commecially aware and technically sound Financial Controller / Finance Director Designate to join the team. The firm has never employed a senior finance person at this level before so this is a great opportunity to make the role your own and really help drive the business forward.
This is a highly varied role as you will be the number one finance person for the business and will provide commercial business partnering to the Partners as well as providing operational accounting support across the business. You will manage a small team overseeing monthly management accounts, year end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, account reconciliation as per SRA guidelines and preparing cashflows, budgets & forecasts. As the firm continues to grow you will build and expand the finance team to ensure that it is adding value and providing improved MI and financial reporting across the business.
Key requirements:
* Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Previous senior level experience working in the finance team of a law firm
* Excellent understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
* Have confidence and gravitas in dealing with Partners and Fee Earners
Potential profit share and equity are on offer over the next 2 years as the business continues to grow and interviews are ongoing so apply now
