Finance Manager

An opportunity to use your finance skills to work for a charity as a Finance Manager supporting children around the world. Charity experience would be useful, but more important for this role is the desire to really make a difference and empathy with and passion for the values and aims of the charity.

Description

As Finance Manager you will work in a small team and successfully deliver all aspects of Finance required by the charity, as well as providing support to other department heads. Key areas of delivery include:

• Developing and delivering a comprehensive financial strategy as well as relevant financial policies and procedures
• Financial Reporting - to ensure accurate financial accounts, with the implementation of adequate reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts for distribution to the Senior Leadership team and trustees Analysis, including variance analysis against budget, analysis of fundraising and operational costs, and programme delivery Complete annual financial statements, and manage the external audit process Implement adequate financial control structures, policies and procedures throughout the organisation charityBudgeting and forecasting - Prepare the operational budget timetable and collaborate to enable the charity to meet agreed deadlinesGovernance - prepare board papers to guide board discussions and decisionsEnsure regulatory compliance for HMRC, Charity Commission etc

Profile

The successful candidate will have experience of using their accountancy skills to work with a range of stakeholders, at both a strategic and operational level

You will be fully qualified ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

You will ideally have experience as a Finance Manager of covering all aspects of finance from transactional tasks up to strategic decision making

You will be committed to the vision of the charity and seek to be part of a dynamic, dedicated and enthusiastic team, who are seeking to evolve the charity to the next level of its growth

Job Offer

c£36,000 - £40,000 depending upon experience
