Personal Tax Assistant sought for this well-known and respected firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your tax career in a growing and progressive team.
Joining an established tax team, you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of clients that could include very high-net-worth individuals, partnerships/directors, sole traders, farmers, and legal practitioners. You will complete all tax compliance requirements for your portfolio with direct client contact. This will include preparing returns and P11d's, drafting letters to clients and HMRC, and Capital Gains tax computations. You will also support senior members of the team with more complex tax matters and act as an ambassador for the firm at all times.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience of working in an accounting or legal firm, either in the tax team or in a general accounting role. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be required to build and maintain successful relationships with both clients and colleagues alike. Experience of CCH Personal Tax Software would be advantageous, but not essential as full training can be provided. You will be a highly motivated and organised individual with a keen willingness to develop your existing skillset.
