INTERMEDIATE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

In the role you will be reporting to the Accounting and Outsourcing Solutions Manager providing outstanding services to local and international clients across a range of industries. You will find yourself to be a key contributor to our fast growing business providing high quality and technical enabled solutions.

About the job:

  • Be the main point of contact for the day to day delivery of services
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and processing journals
  • Assist with bank and payment matters
  • Management accounts preparation and month end close processes
  • Preparation of payroll tax and workers compensation reconciliations
  • Preparation and lodgment of monthly/quarterly business and instalment activity statements
  • Provide information to Business Advisory Team to assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and tax return for companies and trusts
  • ATO registration matters, ASIC matters if required
  • Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff
  • Review of tasks assigned to juniors
  • Keep manager informed of progress and any issues arising
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues
  • Progress towards providing business advisory services to key business stakeholders

About you:

  • 3 – 4 years’ experience working in an accounting related role
  • Completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work to tight time schedules
  • Experience of Xero or other cloud accounting software would be beneficial
  • Strong numerical and IT skills
  • Sound Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
  • Willingness to learn

It is a requirement to have Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Permanent Residency granted
