JDRF gives a voice to people with Type 1 diabetes and funds research and support to those affected. Ivy Rock Partners are working with JDRF to find a part-time Finance Manager to be a key member of the UK team and a prominent business partner within the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive finance professional to join an organisation invested in development, in a role with a varied 'business as usual' and the chance to work closely with the Head of Finance on broad organisational improvement projects.

By accelerating the pace of research and committing almost £300m to international programmes driving world class research to cure, treat and prevent Type 1 Diabetes, this network strives to ensure solutions reach people across the globe.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager is a broad role that will engage with budget holders across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

Preparing the monthly management accounts
Using management accounting information to support budget holders with financial forecasting and consolidating these for the organisational forecast
Supporting the Head of Finance with budgeting and reforecasting
Working with the auditors at Year End
Producing annual corporate tax return
Managing the Gift Aid and VAT processes
Run monthly Payroll
Project work with the Head of Finance including reviewing processes across finance and delivering improvements

This is an organisation with an appetite for improvement and this position will suit someone who is looking for the opportunity to proactively participate in process improvements within finance. We are looking for someone who has a genuine enthusiasm for their work, whether this stems from a passion for the work the organisation does, or for the role itself. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is some exposure to charity finance, in particular an awareness of Gift Aid and VAT accounting. The Head of Finance can work closely with the Finance Manager on development so this offers an excellent career opportunity for the successful candidate.

Location: Working from home (the role is usually based in our London office in Islington)
Salary: £35,600 - £41,300 pro rata per annum inclusive
Hours: 21 hours per week (days and hours can be discussed at interview)
