Assistant Accountant

We are supporting our client to recruit a Assistant Accountant to provide support to the UK Business. On a day to day basis you will provide support the accounting team and more specifically the Management Accountant.

Description

As the Assistant Accountant you will:

• Provide reports including; Cost, P n L, balance sheets
• Support in the production of Management Accounts
• Provide support to the finance teams across the UK
• Produce Work in progress reports
• Produce accurate allocation and reporting of actual cost to individual production jobs and cost centres in a timely manner
• Liaise with payroll and production to ensure all labour allocations are submitted, processed and reconciled
• Liaise with intercompany trading partners to ensure full visibility and reconciliation of recharges
• Assist with preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure dispute resolutions of invoices and customer data queries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner to keep debtor days to a minimum
• Ensure spend is in line with budgets and reviewing variances
• Working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
• Assisting with audit preparation (internal and external)

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Experience with a Finance department
• Studying towards an Accountancy qualification i.e. ACCA, CIMA or AAT
• Have experience of large integrated ERP systems (SAP, Oracle etc)
• Knowledge of UK Accounting regulations

Job Offer

The successful candidate for the Assistant Accountant role:

• Be Based in Cardiff
• Receive £23,000 -£26,000 Per annum
• Generous Holiday and Pension
