This position handles and oversees all Oracle EBS interfaces with various modules, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Concur, Vertex, etc. for organization and its affiliates (domestic and international). This position is also responsible for managing all system issues that arise in the daily accounting operations. It serves as the liaison to Oracle representatives and the company IT department to conduct, troubleshooting, and perform testing procedures for all systems and be a project team member. This position will work closely with Oracle representatives, all accounting staff, and IT teams to review existing business processes and implementing solutions for improvements and efficiencies.


Responsibilities


  • Provides oversight for all Oracle EBS interfaces with various modules including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Concur, Vertex, etc. for organizations and its affiliates.
  • Oversees all System issues that arise daily in accounting operations and provides resolutions to achieve efficiencies and ensure accurate reporting
  • Works with accounting staff, Oracle representatives, and IT teams to review existing business processes and implementing solutions for System improvements and efficiencies.
  • Coordinates with IT department and Oracle representatives for troubleshooting and testing procedures
  • Assesses and recommends appropriate accounting and reporting of transactions/activities from various Systems and improve processes to achieve overall efficiencies
  • Provides reporting for organization and its affiliates utilizing Oracle EBS
  • Performs month–end closing procedures for organization and its affiliates in the appropriate Systems for the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.
  • Coordinates with accounting staff to perform budgeting and forecasting procedures for organization and its affiliates and formats the applicable reports for organization staff
  • Performs monthly deferred revenue analysis, including the resolution of issues and performing reconciliations of differences, working closely with IT, as needed
  • Serves as the administrator for Vertex Tax System, and is responsible for all aspects of the system including the coding and programing of systems for all States and Localities for the collection and remittance of sales tax
  • Works closely with all accounting staff and various departments in the organization.
  • Assists with other accounting duties and serves as a back–up to other accounting positions, as needed
  • Assists with internal and external tasks as needed.


Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Related Systems and/or Accounting, or a related field; AND

3+ years of progressive relevant accounting, business/financial systems experience; OR

  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Technical System expertise in interfacing ERP financial systems.
  • Proven ability to communicate and interface directly with Oracle representatives, IT and other Technology teams on financial system requirements, issues, projects, etc.
  • Understand accounting rules, principles, terminology, guidelines, and standards
  • Must be able to prioritize, organize, problem–solve, process accurately, and follow company and department policies and procedures
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all job functions are performed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Must have the ability to work in a team–oriented environment with a bias for action, a great propensity to learn, the willingness to grow, and have a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Must be able to prioritize, organize, problem–solve, process accurately, and follow company and department policies and procedures
  • Must have excellent and professional verbal, written, and intrapersonal communication skills

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, most particularly Excel and Outlook


Preferred Qualifications & Competencies


  • Technical System expertise in Oracle EBS
  • Proficiency with Vertex Tax Systems – Domestic and International
  • Proficiency with Concur Expense Report System and interfaces with Oracle EBS
  • Proficiency with AP Express and interfaces with Oracle EBS
