SUMMARY:
The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of PEI-Genesis's financial reporting and planning processes, while providing insight into past performance and prospective potential. Qualifications
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA a plus, but not required.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel functionality and other Microsoft applications.
- Prior experience and aptitude to learn ERP system capabilities to extract data for analysis
- General knowledge of internal controls and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles a plus.
- Strong communication skills - both written and oral - with all levels of stakeholders.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to think analytically and solve problems.
- High attention to detail and ability to validate the accuracy of data.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Desire for continuous learning and opportunities to grow professionally
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Function as a key subject matter expert for financial reporting and planning processes
- Proactively support the evolution of various financial reporting processes, (ie. Planning cycles, headcount analytics, weekly outlook, daily sales tracking, cash flow & working capital metrics.
- Act as a main point of contact for providing management and operations with financial insight into historical trends and performance, in addition to potential risks and opportunities
- Define requirements for missing capabilities and potential areas of improvement.
- Act as a champion to promote adoption of metrics and KPI's amongst key business stakeholders
- Develop, implement, maintain and improve financial reporting templates and packages.
- Analyze and report data, providing finance and its business partners with meaningful information for optimized decision making.
- Perform ad hoc projects, analyses and data extractions as assigned.
