Job Description:
- Lead and manage the bid and proposal process from a finance perspective
- Establish weekly metrics around bid process, closure, profitability, and overall progress
- Provides financial analysis on government contracts, including actuals, estimate to complete (ETC), estimate at complete (EAC) and Earned Value (EV) based on inputs from the program team for regularly occurring program reviews.
- Ensure all bids confirm to company policy and approval requirements
- Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and team efficiency
- Provide forward looking financial analysis on product lines to key stakeholders
- Help lead the strategic growth plan around awards and long term growth strategy
- Monitors, analyzes, estimates and reports cost and schedule performance against baseline.
- Converts proposed costs to contract budgets and performs financial budget tracking for contracts.
- Maintains current, accurate and complete files, which support the financials.
- Plan, facilitate, and implement ad hoc analyses to support decision-making.
- Special projects as needed to support financial management and business units.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of experience in a bid and analyst role
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience with Program Finance.
- Management experience
- Strong attention to detail and strong desire to move up in the organization
- Flexibility to work in a fast paced dynamic organization
- Highly organized and proficient in MS Office - strong Excel skills require
Preferred Skills:
- Experienced DoD programs (all services and agencies) and International programs (DCS and FMS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- CPA and/or MBA
- Public company experience
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint (ERP) and Deltek Cobra
- Experience with Propricer
- Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion
- Financial Inventory Management experience
- Experience collaborating with other Program Managers, Business Development Managers, Product Lines, finance, accounting, FP&A and Engineering functions
- Ability to influence cooperation and develop relationships with various people in different functional areas
