Duties include but not limited to:

- Overall familiarity with: accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accrual accounting, auditing, balance sheets, bank reconciliation, debits and credits, deferral transactions, depreciation, financial statements general ledger, inventory transactions, journal entries
- Full cycle Accounts Receivable including but not restricted to:- preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records. Dealing with customers about billing discrepancies. Cash collection. ID facility maintenance; credit checks. Monthly aging with commentary.
- Accounts Payable including but not restricted to:- purchase orders and vendor records maintenance; as well as processing payment runs. Direct debit maintenance. Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancy investigation. Monthly aging with commentary.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations. Capturing daily banking transactions.
- Daily/weekly/monthly reporting
- Updating and running regular cashflow as well as communications with our existing accountants
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and general month-end journal entries, as needed
- Exposure to Payroll Processing
- Prepare and maintain various company budgets
- Assist with preparation of financial statements
- Ad hoc duties as required by the Head of Financial Operations / Head of Management Accounts
- Maintain required business documents
- Maintain financial document retention files
- Comfortable using and experimenting with the latest bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Developing standards; analyzing information; dealing with complexity
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines

Required Experience & Qualification

- 3 or more years of relevant experience essential
- Relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualifications
- Xero/Sage/Pastel Partner and Payroll experience
- Advanced Excel experience
- Experience working with multiple companies
- Tax experience
- Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen eye for detail and the ability to use own judgement
- Ability to work with speed and accuracy
- High energy levels
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
