Are you a part qualified candidate with an interest of pursuing a career in financial accounting? This is a fantastic opportunity as an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a growing organisation and expand your skills and knowledge.
The role is based in Harrogate and offer's a work from home basis.
This role is ideal for a hungry part qualified candidate who is at the start to mid-way through their studies. If you want to join a fast paced diversifying organisation then this is the perfect role for you.
The duties of this role will include but not be limited to:
-Work as part of a team whilst providing accurate, high quality and transactional processing.
-Assist with compliance including reporting to: HMRC , PSA, PD11'S, ONS Reports and submissions.
-Comply accurately with corporate governance, risk management procedures, financial controls and company policies and processes.
-Develop better practices of working with operational changes. You will need to help with driving forward new transactional processes, controls and systems. Whilst also adhering to internal group controls.
-Maintain financial records inclusive of payroll, tax, banking and intercompany have a high level of accuracy and are complete within a timely manner. This will include preparing and reviewing of ledger reconciliations.
-Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts for group and subsidiaries as well as annual statutory audit with external auditors.
-Knowledge of sage or other accounting software.
-Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
-Get involved with projects as per required from financial accounting manager.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
-Must be part qualified and studying ACCA/CIMA
-Sound knowledge of financial accounting and reporting
-Great attention to detail and time management skills to be able to meet deadlines.
-Be able to work as part of a wider team and alone to meet pressurised deadlines.
-Great communication and interpersonal skills towards all levels of the organisation
