Responsibilities & Qualifications

KPMG is currently seeking an Associate for our Risk Assurance practice.

Responsibilities:
• Provide data driven approaches to address a spectrum of risk factors including IT risk, financial risk, operational risk and performance improvement opportunities for clients within a variety of industries
• Identify opportunities for improvement in managing risk by leveraging data and technology and understanding the client's business, technology landscape, and business processes
• Perform data flow process mapping and analytical reviews of client business processes, transactions and systems
• Plan and perform tests of client's financial and information technology controls, including IT security and governance controls, as well as business process controls
• Assist in the assessment, design and implementation of security and controls as well as consulting on leading practices surrounding Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools for top-tier ERP platforms, including cloud technologies
• Conduct research, assist with risk analysis, and complete quantitative and qualitative analysis through a variety of data analytic tools and techniques
• Collaborate with teammates on designing, developing and marketing new service offerings and innovative tools, utilizing emerging technologies and intelligent automation, in order to advance our practice and client objectives

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or other IT related degree from an accredited college/university
• General understanding of business processes and technology, as well as data analysis techniques
• Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking skills, and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
• Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises approximately 80 - 90 percent, at times with relatively short notice
• Target Graduation Dates: Winter 2021 Associates from Spring 2020 to December 2020; Summer 2021 Associates from December 2020 through Spring 2021; and Fall 2021 Associates from December 2020 through Summer 2021.
