Experian CIS is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Analyst that has Tableau development experience. The position will be a blend of Tableau development, data scientist/analyst, and finance analyst. The ideal candidate will have Tableau development experience who is looking to broaden into data analysis, finance, and compensation. The selected candidate will be embedded with the Integrated Sales Finance team and be their lead Tableau and data expert to design, develop, and implement data models and dashboards enabling the smooth operation of sales compensation. The candidate will be expected to have a deep understanding of Tableau's capabilities to solve advanced challenges. The candidate is also expected to work with closely with finance and other technical system teams to architect data schemas and table design.

The primary function of Tableau development will be to administer the sales incentive plan with added data visualization functionality for partnering with various departments to drive revenue growth. Business partnering with salespeople to senior management will be expected in the development, implementation, communication and administration of sales incentive plans, policies and targets. The role will ensure minimum downtime, own data reconciliation, require agility to meet compensation plan changes, and deliver maximum data hygiene. Partnering may also include sales performance analysis, commission reports, presentations, and recommendations for sales and/or finance management. Recommendations may contribute to the development or improvement incentive plan design and sales targets. This is a hands-on development and analytical role in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own the design, development, and implementation of a sales commission tool
  • Primary resource for the development process from requirements through proof of concept to final application
  • Work effectively with a broad range of users to interpret requirements
  • Work with and influence cross functional partners to who own data necessary for sales incentive tracking and reporting
  • Leverage various systems and data repositories to optimize sales incentive reporting
  • Partner with IT, BI and Operations team to help identify and mend data gaps, source issues, and data inaccuracies
  • Create appropriate security for the application based on roles
  • Design and deliver end-user training and training materials for top management as well as operational teams; provide technical support as necessary
  • Deliver quick turnarounds on dashboards, identify trends and/or issues within data sets, and make recommendations to influence business decisions and investments
  • Analyze the impact of changes, forecasting trends, providing historical performance data analysis, etc.
  • Contribute to written reports and presentation materials describing payment methodologies, data, and results
  • Implement quality assurance to ensure accuracy of data, results, reports, and presentation materials
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration to achieve results
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business, strategic direction, organizational structure, and overall organizational goals
  • Promotes a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes


Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have:
  • At least 3 years of experience in design, development and deployment of Dashboards using Tableau and complex relational and multi-dimensional data sources like Oracle Data Lake, Data Warehouse, or Hyperion Essbase
  • Experience with complex Tableau concepts required in meeting difficult client requirements and building advanced visualizations
  • End-to-End Tableau Designer expertise from Tableau data model publication, interactive dashboard design/development to deployment/maintenance. Hands-on skills with use of action filters, user filters, advanced navigation techniques, Level-of-Detail (LOD) expressions
  • Experience in Tableau development including Tableau data model creation, customize dimensions, advanced calculations, and interactive dashboards
  • Experience tuning the performance of Tableau Server dashboards to minimize the data and rendering refresh cycles and optimize the end user experience
  • Experience working with data warehouse concepts along with knowledge of SQL to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data
  • Experience of project management using agile methodology including ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through on completion of high-profile projects
  • Expert at workbook performance troubleshooting in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
  • Experience with Oracle, MS SQL, and openness to learn about other data sources feeding the dashboards
  • Understanding of user security using Tableau and Tableau Server functionalities for user management and permissions
  • Ability to troubleshoot dashboards independently
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of revenue accounting
  • Experience with sales compensation is a plus
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree
