This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven Assistant Financial Accountant to fast track their career and gain some valuable learning opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting with month end activities
- Assisting Senior Accountants with the preparation of financial statements and statutory reporting
- Completing all related reconciliations including bank recs, balance sheet recs, revenue recs, etc.
- Income accruals
- Analysis of revenue and expense
- Completion of IAS / BAS lodgements
- Actively contribute to the departments process improvements and ad hoc tasks.
- Be part of any department or company wide projects
To be considered for this role you will ideally have the following skills & experience:
- Proven previous Assistant Accountant or Assistant Financial Accountant experience
- Experience in business services industry is desired but not essential
- Exposure to financial statement preparation
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment and have excellent time management skills to ensure all task are completed to deadline
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate problem solving skills
- Ability to pick up new systems and task quickly
- Exposure to several accounting systems including large ERP systems with an advanced level of Excel
