THE CLIENT

Our client is a well-known and highly respected Food Manufacturer. They are part of a global, diversified Group employing over 100,000 employees worldwide. With clarity on future direction, clearly defined vision and values, our client is one of Australia's and New Zealand's largest food manufacturers.

The Company prides itself in being a leader and innovator, which can only happen with a Quality and Safety focus.

THE ROLE

This new role has become available through natural growth and development of the Company and is located in regional Victoria, less than 100km from Melbourne. Though interacting with other Departments, this is an autonomous role reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

You will become a part of the Quality Assurance Team that ensures the Company meets its future commercial ambitions by guaranteeing their products continue to meet stringent internal and external Quality requirements.

Working closely with Operations and Quality Assurance, you will conduct internal audits to identify any existing gaps, you will then become part of the solution - Designing, Developing and Implementing any Corrective Actions.

The Role will have you auditing against National, Company and Customer requirements. The essence of this role is that you will become an integral part of the Company's Team that adds value and improves the Organisation's Operations.

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:
  • It is anticipated that you will have tertiary or post-secondary qualifications with Internal Auditor Training a must.
    You will have significant experience working in a Quality role ideally within a food manufacturing environment; preferably in chilled processed foods, poultry, meat, seafood or similar.
  • Experienced in Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, such as BRC/SQF, Coles, WQA, YUM, HACCP and McDonalds.
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience working with Industry Standards/requirements as well as Regulatory Bodies, such as the Health Department.
  • Effective communications skills are a must as you will be working with a diverse group of the Company's employees when undertaking your audits. You will need to be clear and precise, yet focussed upon the issue at hand.
  • You will need to demonstrate how you can engage and build relationships as you interact with internal stakeholders as well as suppliers and external clients.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills that will allow you to deal with a diverse group of issues and assignments concurrently.
  • Strong and proven problem solving skills to provide leadership when dealing with any issues that arise.
  • To compliment your problem solving skills you will be decisive and be able to clearly and proactively deal with issues, explaining and implementing effective solutions.
  • Understand the importance of supporting others through change brought about by Corrective Actions and Process Improvement tasks.
