Scope Overview

You will play a pivotal role in the management of Singapore and overseas tax issues. In respect of our investment activities, you will take the lead in the analysis and structuring of how best to invest in the overseas airports and address tax issues such as repatriation of profits and capital gains tax. You will have to analyse tax impact that our overseas airports face and the implications for us as shareholders. You will advise on tax implications of our treasury activities. You will also have to address permanent establishment issues and indirect tax issues in countries where we provide consultancy services. You will prepare transfer pricing documentation of our overseas operations to ensure that they comply with local transfer pricing regulations while mitigating tax risks of both parties. You will ensure adequate current tax provision and deferred tax asset/liability and also identify and implement relevant tax incentives in the respective overseas operations.

You should possess a good degree in Accountancy from a reputable university and be either a Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant or advanced taxation qualifications. You should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a Tax Department in a Big 4 firm and/or relevant tax experience in a MNC. Strong technical knowledge of local and international taxes is expected.

To succeed in this role, you should have strong intellectual and analytical ability, clarity of thinking, and good understanding of business risks. You should be able to work independently, be resourceful in solving issues in an uncertain environment and have the gravitas to work with senior management team, investors and stakeholders of the business and investee companies. This role requires frequent travel within short notice.
