Job Description
Description Position: Senior Financial Analyst Purpose: The IT Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for performing day-to-day financial operations for Information Technology (IT) group, with special emphasis on Project Accounting and Tracking.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Perform day to day financial activities related to project accounting including managing and recording project related invoices and orders, create monthly detailed project forecasts for individual projects and summarized by business unit
• Responsible for month-end financials, including journal entries and variance analysis. • Prepare budget and quarterly estimates, including analysis, loading in the TM1, updating allocation percentages and reporting.
• Creating expense reports to help department heads better manage their business
• Perform analysis of financial data and extracts and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or project future financial trends
• Create various ad hoc analyses and special project reports as required. Requirements Knowledge/Skill/Experience Required:
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required, MBA and/or CPA preferred
• Solid and practical background in Project accounting and analysis high desirable
• Solid and practical background in financial analysis techniques and business planning skills
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience with Visual Basic and advanced formulas
• Must have experience with Oracle Financials
• Must have experience with TM1, Hyperion, or similar budgeting and financial reporting tools
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work effectively and directly with all levels of management
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to quickly understand and interpret complex data trends to identify patterns and potential issues
• Self-directed individual with a strong ability to manage ambiguity and adapt readily and easily to changes in priorities and business conditions

Pay Rate is $50-55/hr
