We currently have an opportunity fora Senior Business Analystin Dieppe, N.B.

Position Overview:

The Business Analyst reports to the Director of Business Solutions and is a key member of the JDI IT team in eliciting requirements, working with resources within the Operations group, implementing new IT solutions and ensuring the ongoing success of tools and applications within the client environment.

In this role,you will provide strong leadershipin a dynamic and fast paced work environment towards enabling thegrowth and improvementof the business.

What you will be doing:

  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
  • Develop solution expertise to be able to provide guidance andsupport to business users
  • Lead enhancements and process improvement activities
  • Manage relationships and establish trusted partnerships with associated business areas
  • Analyze functional and detailed business requirements
  • Documentation of current and future state processes, business requirements, test preparation, execution, and traceability to requirements

You have:
  • A Bachelor's degree (preference to Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Business)
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or demonstrated relevant skills
  • Demonstrated technical competencies with a passion for technology
  • Exceptional communications skills and experience in working with technical subject matter experts and customers.
  • Demonstrated success with business requirements analysis, group facilitation, gap analysis and process mapping and design as part of a business transformation
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications/ experience would be an asset

You are:
  • Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and able to consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
  • Highly energetic and adaptable
  • An excellent facilitator and able to build consensus among process stakeholders
  • Able to understand business processes and translate into technical requirements.

A few more things we would consider assets:
  • Manufacturing and shop floor experience
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications/ experience
  • Experience in working in a formal systems development lifecycle methodology environment involving such artifacts as functional and detail design documents, business use cases, and requirements traceability
