Auditor / Accountant - Centre of Excellence

As we continue to grow and develop our service offering, we are creating a new division that will deliver both audit and accounting work to clients and act as Findex's Centre of Excellence across these service lines.

Due to the challenges presented by COVID, we successfully transitioned our business to working from home. We have developed various digital platforms and initiatives to support this approach and encouraged by positive client feedback we are continuing to adopt this model moving forward.

As such we are open to individuals based in any location in Australia, as long as you have the capability to work from home.

The opportunity

You will support our core audit and accounting teams, providing a centralised overflow capability, but also delivering higher value, complex and ad hoc work for clients.

The Centre of Excellence will be a high performing team and recognised for its technical expertise, flexibility and ability to consistently deliver high quality work to clients. This will include:

• All aspects of a typical audit engagement
• Assist in preparing business reports and management letters for clients to highlight key issues and recommended actions
• Assist in preparing business advice and financial statements for a range of companies, partnerships, trusts and individual businesses
• Work on business advisory projects including budgets and cashflows; management reporting; KPI dashboards and our virtual CFO service.
• Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines, within budget
• Support the management of client relationships with a focus on delivering exceptional service every time
• Involvement in projects that seek to unlock new initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
• Promote the use of Findex's cloud accounting and digital solutions, and other Findex service lines.

About you

• Ideally have practical experience across both audit and accounting. We are also open to experienced auditors seeking an opportunity to gain accounting and business advisory experience.
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Australian financial reporting and auditing standards with local experience highly valued.
• Completed or working towards completion of CA / CPA.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to get out from behind the numbers and actively engaging with your clients.
• A commercial mindset with strong analytical skills
• Collaborative, team player who understands the importance of building strong internal relationships across the wider Findex business.
• A commitment to your career and be looking to develop into more senior and leadership roles.
