Location - Flexible, although core role to be based in Cannock, Staffordshire
Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
What you'll do
The Assistant Management Accountant role will support the National Business lines within the IWE business, with responsibility for supporting our Industrial Site Services activities across the UK. The position will report into the Senior Management account for the business line and also work closely with the depot administration teams to accurately report the financial position.

The experience you will need
The successful candidate will be working towards an accountancy qualification and have previous experience working in a finance department. You will be confident in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders and demonstrating an eye for detail to ensure accuracy of all financial transactions;
Previous experience supporting the preparation of the monthly management accounts and associated reconciliations will be required as is the ability to work to tight financial deadlines.
You will be self-motivated, and demonstrate a desire to work with new people and systems as Veolia continues its digital transformation journey.
Where you'll work
The key business locations for the role are based in the North of England and the Midlands and the role holder is expected to be based in this area, however remote working options will be considered for this role. The role may also require some travel to support the business delivery requirements. There will be a requirement to visit operational sites.

- To support the preparation of accurate and timely financial results for ISS business line;
- Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations;
- Budget and forecast preparation;
- Point of contact with business administration team and finance shared service departments;
- Contribute to the annual audit process;
- Support the business ERP transition and wider digital transformation programme;
- Undertaking ad hoc project work as required and remain compliant with all Veolia policies and procedures
