Team Overview

Regulatory Operations Solutions is a growing team responsible for defining, testing and implementing change to BlackRock's regulatory processes. The team consists of skilled business analysts who apply standard BA techniques, allied with knowledge of BlackRock's organization, processes and technology to execute on a range of regulatory projects.

The team plays a critical role as the requirements translation layer between Legal & Compliance, Technology and Operations. Working in Regulatory Operations requires strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills. Your role would involve analyzing new and changing regulatory obligations, understanding their impact on BlackRock's business using business process and data analysis, and using technology knowledge and attention to detail to frame, design and test creative solutions to complex issues. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys shifting challenges and ambiguous environments, thinks creatively, possesses the confidence to have an opinion, takes the initiative and thrives under close scrutiny and tight deadlines.

Role Responsibility

Partner with Legal&Compliance to ensure regulatory interpretations are expressed in plain language

Conduct analysis of data and business processes to define how the regulation applies to BlackRock's business

Create clear, specific technology and business process requirements documents, partnering with technology and business team stakeholders to drive consensus

Design and implement functional testing of technology changes

Manage User Acceptance Testing delivered by stakeholder teams, ensuring it is of a high standard

Stay up-to-date on regulatory trends impacting BlackRock

Experience

Minimum 3 years experience of business process analysis, design and documentation

Experience of functional testing design and execution

Results-driven individual with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Exhibits strong planning and organizational skills

Ability to clearly communicate objectives and articulate the rationale behind those goals

Self-motivated: able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting

Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

Technical aptitude, understanding technology in a business context

Ideally experience of regulatory change impacting financial services, eg. MIFID II, EMIR, AIFMD
