Brief Description The role

As a Governance and Assurance Analyst, you will run key GBS project governance and assurance processes, and act as a subject matter expert in delivery methodologies, reporting to the Governance & Assurance Manager.

About the role (External) Key Accountabilities

What will you be doing?

• To run the Delivery Assurance process, including regular portfolio baselining and "heat-mapping" to identify candidates for reviews, the publication of the assurance schedule and compliance reports, management of all assurance related communications, advance notification and scheduling of assurance reviews, and planning and management of resources to conduct the reviews.

• To conduct Delivery Assurance reviews for lower value / risk projects and produce Delivery Assurance reports, documenting evidence and outlining recommendations to address issues, presenting findings to the Governance & Assurance Manager and/or senior management.

• To review key project deliverables, including but not exclusively Delivery Assurance reports and Project Closure Reports, to identify areas for improvement and to recommend changes that address these areas for improvement.

• To run the project approval and investment process, running the process, and managing and owning all associated activities, including publication of candidate projects, workload allocation for PDR reviews, approval tracking, updates to PDR endorsement criteria, and related communications.

• To run the Programme Office change control process, running the process, and managing and owning all associated activities, including publication of CR list, CR review criteria, related communications, and close working with Strategic Sourcing.

• To own and maintain a flexible suite of GBS delivery methodologies, acting as a subject matter expert, and championing use of these methodologies within the project management community

• To run the GBS delivery methodology change control process.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Do you meet the following criteria?

Essential

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrable experience in IT delivery assurance for projects <=£1m

• Demonstrable experience in delivering projects <=£1m within the IT Delivery Life-Cycle

• Demonstrable understanding of Prince2 and Agile methodology

• Strong English business writing skills

• Strong analytic skills.

Desirable

• Educated to degree level
