Accounting Assistant - Reporting and Consolidation

Would you like to work in the Chief Operating Officer (COO) line of business within the Air Sector? We currently have a vacancy for an Accounting Assistant - Reporting and Consolidation at our site in Warton.

As an Accounting Assistant - Reporting and Consolidation, you will be working as part of the COO Central Reporting team and be supporting the Finance Manager to consolidate and report the COO financial performance. This includes monthly reporting and Integrated Business Plan submissions into the Air Sector. The purpose of the role is to support the Reporting Finance Manager and team with all aspects of financial reporting of COO.

This role will provide you with you with the opportunity to work with the various other finance teams across COO and provide a good overview of a reporting and consolidation role. There will be opportunities for exposure to senior management during review cycles.

Your main responsibilities as an Accounting Assistant - Reporting and Consolidation will involve:

Assisting with preparing the MFR (Monthly Financial Reports) packs for the businesses and with the consolidation into one COO pack for FD

Assisting with the review and input of monthly financial information into HFM (Group reporting system) and complete reconciliations to TM1 (reporting tool).

Providing help with producing the reports and necessary back up for the central reporting balance sheet. Keeping the action log up to date.

Supporting the preparation of COO financial slides for senior review meetings.

Supporting with the collation, analysis and review of Half Year and Full Year statutory reporting information.

Assisting with the review and input of IBP (Integrated Business Plan) information in HFM (including reconciliations back to TM1). To support the preparation of the business packs to help with HFM population. Also support the preparation of the COO IBP financial slides.

Supporting process improvements.

Your skills and qualifications:

Previous accounting experience is essential

Studying for professional qualification e.g. AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA desirable

Confident working in excel with good analytical and spreadsheet modelling skills and PowerPoint

Good communication skills when dealing with both internal and external customers.

Proactive approach with strong organisation skills

You will need to have a willingness to be 'Hands On' to support the team as a whole, especially during busy periods and be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and be able to prioritise deliverables

Location: Warton

Salary: £27,673.00
