PURPOSE

This position also prepares required financial reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Files financial reports to the state and other agencies as required:
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
- Maintains fixed asset accounting system:
- Participates in annual independent audit which requires lead documents and full financial statements;
- Provides accounting support and training as needed:
- Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with District policies, procedures, and safety practices;
- Conduct internal audits as needed:
- Provide accounting support to both District and school building ASB Fund;
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs other related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
- Solid working knowledge of Excel;
- Analyze and interpret fiscal accounting records and prepare accurate and complete financial reports;
- Maintain records efficiently and accurately and to prepare clear and concise reports;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other District employees, supervisory personnel, and the public;
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
- Ability to work independently;
- Solid attention to detail and high-level of accuracy;
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business required;
- Three years' experience and training in accounting preferred.

- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively on the telephone and in person;
