General Description / Primary Purpose
The purpose of this position is to serve as a liaison staff member for the Foundation Investment Committee. This includes organizing and planning quarterly investment meetings, sub-committee meetings, and any assignments/projects requested by the Investment Committee.

As directed by the Investment Committee, this position will work on special projects including researching peer investment performance, create projections and investment return models based on investment and spending policy adjustments, provide data to other stakeholders for key reports, respond to external requests, etc.

Essential Duties

Job Function
-Manage communication with the outsourced CIO and coordinate the recording of all foundation investment activities including investments in the general endowment investment pool, short-term investments, annuity investments, and all other investment accounts maintained by the foundation.
-Monitor asset allocations and investment performance to determine if the foundation investment goals are being achieved in accordance with the foundation's approved investment policy.
-Provide investment policy interpretation and guidance to others within the University, research transactions, and provide training and advice on investment policy and procedures as needed.
-Provide timely and accurate financial data and reports to the foundation's board, Executive Director, donors, management and accounting staff.
-Reporting includes monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc financial and investment reports and analysis, as well as analysis of investment returns and projections, annual budget projections based on forecasted endowment and non-endowed portfolio performance, assist with the upcoming campaign cost projection and tracking, ROI reporting, etc.
-Assist in preparing for the Foundation's annual audit.
-Work within the scholarship management software, accounting software, fundraising software, and complex Excel spreadsheets to ensure that financial transactions are recorded properly in each system.
-This position, in coordination with the Report Writer and the Sr. Director of Advancement Operations, will be responsible for building and managing the Endowment Tracking database.

A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience:
Minimum 3-7 years of professional experience in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferably with concentration in investment management/analysis, including experience working with endowment or investment fund performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Proficiency in preparing financial analysis reports utilizing various tools.
-Well organized with the ability to file, maintain and quickly access numerous internal and external documents in support of donors and endowment accounting functions.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to professionally interact with internal staff, board members, donors, volunteers, and OCIO.
-Fundamental knowledge of investment performance analysis.
-Excellent Excel and Access skills and the ability to fully utilize its formulas and functions to develop complex worksheets.
