The Accountant will provide leadership to the Finance Team, ensuring that the financial health of the organisation is strong, developing strategies based on financial research, guiding management in making sound business decisions in the long and short term. The Accountant will also ensure the compliance of financial regulations of the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide the direct oversight to the overall cost management of the centre and established proper internal control processes, including fiscal activities, approval of purchases, requisitions, invoicing, receipts, payments, grant management, banking and all donations and fee collection matters. Ensuring its adherence to good governance, policy and procedural guidelines with The Salvation Army's policies and all statutory requirements such as MSF.
  • Undertake specific project as assigned by Head of Home.
  • Supervision of accounts staff.


Working Hours
5 days week
Flexibility in working schedule is required when necessary

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent with management experience
  • Minimum 5 years' related experience in a residential home
  • Possess effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Hands on experience using Enterprise Resource Planning system (e.g. Oracle Finance)
  • Applicant should be autorised to work in Singapore
