Schneider Electric's process automation solutions help our customers to drive their operations to higher and higher value utilising proven Schneider Electric technology and expertise enabling success. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Process Automation (PA) business unit for an experienced Finance Controller to join our Finance team, operating as part of the North Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa Hub (NESSA) team. You can be based in our office in Crawley or any other Schneider Electric office in UK but you need to be willing to travel to Crawley when required.Your mission:This role will be instrumental in the key financial control of the UK Hub, as well as acting as the key controller in the UK&I team.

The position will report to Hub Finance Business Partner and will operate as part of the Hub Finance team.Deep knowledge of accounting standards is essential; the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate sound analytical skills whilst also showing a proactive approach to their work. Working with the FP&A controller and the wider Finance team the successful candidate will be expected to contribute towards the development of a compelling vision and then deliver that vision to inspire and motivate the Finance team to drive the business forward to achieve our goals. Combining these qualities with a demonstrable strong and disciplined business acumen.

Amongst many factors, success will be dependent on having a sharp eye for detail and the tenacity required to succeed.As an experienced Accounting professional, this position will be the focal point of Schneider Electric Process Automation's financial controlling across a wide range of industry sectors including oil and gas, pharmaceutical, power and nuclear, food and beverage as well as water and utilities, automotive and energy. Your main responsibilities:Act as the key interface between Finance and the wider business to ensure accuracy of reporting and early disclosure of any issues (positive or negative).Look at continual process improvement, to ensure efficiency in the way both Finance and the Projects team work.Review and update the hedging requirements of the business as needed for projects.Month end dutiesStandard journals.Interco reconciliation.Ensure HFM completion.SFC analysis and forecast.Produce the statutory accounts for UK&I business.Engage with ad-hoc projects as and when they are introduced during the year.Handle all tax and VAT returns as required.Coordination of National Statistics forms.Act as the liaison point for auditors.Manage and maintain the Genpact FA relationship Manage and maintain the Genpact FBS relationshipEnsure all AP and AR activities are up-to-date.Central point for all KICS controls.Assist the Finance Business Partner with any aspects of month end as required.Maintain and build upon the good business relationships already held within the hub.Assist the FP&A Controller with any SFC queries as required.About you: You must be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with some years post qualified experience.Strong financial accounting background, with good understanding of POC accounting and IFRS Standards. Strong ability to develop and maintain customer relationships (internal and external).Good knowledge of foreign currency.
