A small specialist investment business based in South West London (Zone 2) is recruiting a hybrid role, suitable for an accountant who can manage the day to day bookkeeping for the business as well as operate on an Executive Assistant / Office Manager level and take care of the Legal and Compliance requirements of the business.

Based in South West London (Zone 2) and very close to the tube station.

Description

Reporting directly to the Managing Partner of the business, you will be required to manage the day to day accounting and bookkeeping for the UK and European entities as well as provide high calibre executive / personal assistant duties to the team and assist in managing the legal and compliance requirements.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage bookkeeping for UK parent and supporting the part-time Finance Director (either up to book entry, payroll, expense claiming, budget management) with the finance director currently producing management accounts of the group on a consolidated basis.

o Issuing sales and purchase invoices and managing staff and company expenses

o Ensure all bills and invoices are paid and reconciled in a timely manner and recorded in Xero

o Manage bank accounts, ensuring sufficient liquidity and managing cash flow

o Providing financial analysis on investments

o Liaise with tax consultants and external advisers in UK and Germany to prepare accounts

o Supporting finance director on budgeting

o Supporting on Payroll and managing holiday calendar of staff

o Office Management (Corporate admin, IT, Filing, meeting room bookings and facilities management)

o Assisting to manage legal and corporate compliance matters, therefore some paralegal

o Assisting with investor relations communications

o Providing Executive Assistant support to the Managing Partner such as managing complex travel schedules/ personal investment

o Providing paralegal support and / or assisting in preparation of investment materials

Profile

This is a unique role and would suit a candidate who can demonstrate strong capability in 3 key areas:

  • accounting
  • paralegal / compliance support
  • executive PA / office management

You must be comfortable to work within a small team and able to work to your own steam comfortably.

Proactive and hands on

Additional language skills a bonus e.g. German but not essential

Strong interest in working for an investment business and keen to grow your career within this field

Able to travel to the office in SW London (Zone 2) comfortably
