Payroll Officer x 2 - 6 month Fixed term contract
A Payroll Officer is responsible for processing payroll, weekly and annual payroll input. Implementing policies and ensuring payroll is fully compliant.
Responsibilities:
- Processing of Payroll
- Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.
- Collecting, calculating and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information.
- Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes deductions and reporting on this.
- Determining payroll liabilities by calculating taxes, deductions leave, disability, maternity, terminations and any earnings due to an employee.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
- Issuing of team numbers, manual system
- Resolve all logged calls
- Unlock all users
- Create and maintain all users on the system
- Reset passwords
- Ensure shift rules in TK function accurately
- Assist in testing new shift rules
- Appropriate telephone skills when dealing with all people
- Timeous response/feedback to queries and complaints
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant BCom Degree
- 2 - 3 years Payroll experience
- Sage VIP experience is a must
