We are looking for a cost and stock controller in the Franschhoek area to join our client's procurement team.Industry: Hospitality

Area: Franschhoek

Key Responsibilities, Including but not limited to:
  • Liaising with purchasers in order to obtain best quality and pricing
  • Managing of stock and cost control for the whole business
  • Ensure that mid-month and month-end stock takes are conducted in time accurately
  • Conduct costing on all menus and items, ensuring that managers agree on par levels and ensure that all required stock is available on time
  • Conduct audits on all received stock, investigate any discrepancies on stock and resolve issues
  • Ensure that stock systems are updated with accurate stock information
  • Execute various stock related reports on a monthly basis
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Run daily briefing sessions and ensure that departmental staff are informed about job related information
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders for generation of business

Minimum Requirements:
  • Recognized Qualifications in stock and cost controlling would be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems and NAV Systems
  • Advanced numerical, negotiation and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work shifts or on a roster basis
